Service Introduction
HKSKH Lady MacLehose Centre has been providing comprehensive and diverse services for ethnic minorities in Hong Kong. In response to the needs of ethnic minorities, the services aim to support them in facing various difficulties in life and promote racial harmony. Services for Ethnic Minorities Unit was established in 2001 and consists of staff members from different ethnicities such as Chinese, Pakistani, Nepalese, and Indian. With the support of various funds, partners, and schools over the years, we are able to provide services such as individual case assistance, group activities, and outreach work to ethnic minorities and their families of different types, genders, and ages. The services are based on the following three core values:
- Promoting racial integration among different ethnicities;
- Establishing a community that promotes self-help through various approaches, such as social enterprises;
- Focusing on the needs of residents and emphasizing the transformation of service users' roles and empowerment work.
